disappointed in america
WHY is there so much trash talk among both Democrats and Republicans? A win for the president should be a win for the entire nation, not a win for only certain members of a community. Personally, I’m glad Obama won the vote but I get worried when I see so much hate in Democrats for Romney, and in Republicans for Obama. Given the number and magnitude of the issues we face as a nation, fighting amongst ourselves may just be the worst strategy in approaching any of them. Of all the “take that romney” posts I saw on the internet tonight, I remember one I was both surprised and relieved to read,
“congratulations president Obama, I hope you do what is best for America, you may of not won the popular vote, but you’re the leader of the free world regardless”
This status in particular came from a Republican after Obama had won the election. Yet this is what both Republicans and Democrats should be saying. Not “fuck you republicans,” or “SUCK MY DICK ROMNEY.” In the end, it’s the welfare of the people in question, not the identity of the leader. As I stated earlier, I agree with many of Obama’s platforms, however they are essentially empty words if antagonism between parties continue. While Democrats complain about this lack of bipartisanship all the time, they are part of the problem too.

1. There is a man who lives on the top floor of a very tall building.
Everyday he gets the elevator down to the ground floor to leave the building to go to work. Upon returning from work though, he can only travel half way up in the lift and has to walk the rest of the way unless it’s raining! Why?
